Fostering Creatives: Hannah

I’m featured on the Foster’s Creative Blog! Check it out!

In this series, you'll hear from each of our teammates about their creative values and philosophy and why we feel so passionate about cultivating creativity in others.

“I think being creative matters because not only does it help me express myself and my emotions, it helps me interpret things outside of the boundaries of what society deems to be the the correct way of living. Creativity helps me to think beyond what’s inside a box and I think I’ve learned how to live life more through creativity than just achieving great test scores in school and finding the perfect job. Though having these capabilities show a great technical and potential skill in success, I think without creativity I wouldn’t have been able to exceed my boundaries and go beyond what I can do.

I’ve said this once before but when I think of fostering future creatives, I think ‘People Matter and your work does too, no matter how small.’ I don’t say this in a political equality vs. equity retention (though that is part of it) but that every minor, big, and possibility without reason - exploring one’s creative is how you can find your self identity in everything that you do. To all the younger creatives and even the non creative mentees I mentor, I always highlight that what people do matters and how you decide to help carve a path for others is what helps them grow creatively and that starts with showing lots of love and heart no matter what they do.”
